TMNT (Fred Wolf) Season 3 Part 3 reviewed

Been in the mood for the old cartoon lately, so I figured I'd scarf down another 6 episodes from the third season.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987) Season 3 Part 3 Review at Adventures in Poor Taste.

I was sort of dreading this batch, as there aren't any notable villains in any of the episodes.  However, at least two of them are season 3 favorites of mine, so it wasn't a total loss.

Yep, this was a decent batch of episodes, and I agree "The Ninja Sword of Nowhere" and "Cowabunga Shredhead" were excellent, as well as "Take me to your leader."

Still what I like about Season 3 is even the "meh" episodes aren't really bad, they're just OK. The Four Mukseturtle episode and "Turtles Turtles Everywhere" aren't anything spectacular, but they're still decently entertaining.

Seems to me the writers were exploring at this point how many different ways Shredder/Krang could come up with a new evil scheme of the week, and most of them were quite fun. Never understood why people thought the old show had a "mutant of the week" formula, when in reality a new mutant only shows up like once every 20-30 episodes. I guess people believed Peter Laird's ranting about mutants showing up every other episode in the cartoon, which couldn't have been further from the truth.
