Workin' on another TMNT manga translation!

Well, it's that time again.  Time to put the only thing I learned in college to good use.

I'm getting to work on translating yet another vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles manga collection, this time the Comic Bom Bom adaptation of "TMNT III" (not to be confused with the Dengeki Comics adaptation).  I'll be doing it one chapter at a time (there's a total of 6) and the folks at the Optical Internet Translation Gang will be doing all the image clean-up and text editing, as usual.

This one looks like a lot of fun as it takes MASSIVE liberties with the awful, awful source material and winds up being a pretty crazy ride.

For those of you that don't give one damn about TMNT manga, I'll try and maintain an update schedule for reviews, but keep in mind that translating these comics takes up much of my allotted TMNT writing time.  As such, I'll mostly be reviewing short strips for a while and maybe toss up a few "Awesome Turtle Pictures" to fill 'er out.

And for those who don't visit the sidebar menu very often, you can find a wide selection of rare vintage TMNT manga already translated and available in convenient .cbr downloads.  Give em a shot.  They're pretty neat.

SInce you're going to review short strips in future, here's the TMNT story from the Comic Relief Comic, plus an excerpt from a book about Neil Gaiman which puts it all in context (PM or email me if you can't access the files in the link):
